What is this model for?
In a parking garage, a warehouse corridor or a factory hall, a fire door often stands in the middle of a wide, gray, busy space. There, the color of the door is not a matter of taste but works as a signal: a red leaf marks the location of the exit from a distance when smoke rises and the space goes dark. It is a misconception that red is mandatory for fire doors — what is mandatory is the signage — but in large spaces this color genuinely helps during evacuation. Structurally it is the same as SM-YK001: single leaf, opens in the direction of escape, works with a panic bar and a door closer; the door carries a sign saying how it opens. In technical rooms, if the door is used only by staff who know the building, an emergency exit lever handle can be chosen instead of a panic bar; the use determines which one is sufficient.

03An honest note
When is this model not the right choice?
In places where interior design comes to the fore, such as a hotel lobby or an office corridor, a red leaf looks out of place; there, the gray or RAL-colored door of the same construction (SM-YK001) is the better choice. Where a single leaf is not wide enough for the passage, a double leaf (SM-YK003) is needed.
