A workshop that shapes metal to measure
Saray Metal Çelik Konstrüksiyon manufactures villa entrance gates, wrought iron, wall-top railings, steel roofs and facades, fencing systems and steel structures in its own workshop in Arnavutköy, Istanbul. Cutting, welding, grinding and surface preparation are done in this workshop; only installation is left for the site.
01Lines of work
What do we make?
Our work falls under five headings. What they all share is a load-bearing metal frame with an infill or cladding attached to it; what sets them apart is the span, the load and the way they are used. At a villa entrance, the hinges and the track carry the weight of the gate; on a steel roof, the same calculation is done with trusses and purlins. That is also why they are made in the same workshop: the materials and workmanship are the same, the dimensions and calculations differ.

02Process
How does a job progress from start to finish?
Seven steps. Whatever you have us make, the sequence stays the same; the only thing that changes is how long each step takes.
- 01Site surveyMeasurements are taken on site; we see the opening, level differences, ground conditions and any existing structure. The dimensions on paper almost never match those on site exactly.
- 02Design and drawingsA technical drawing is prepared from the measurements. Infill divisions, profile sections and any automation layout are finalized at this stage.
- 03ApprovalThe drawing and the color and material choices are approved in writing. Because a change after approval means reversing fabrication, this step is not rushed.
- 04FabricationCutting, bending and welding are done in our workshop in Arnavutköy. Weld seams are ground flush with the surface.
- 05Surface treatmentThe surface is prepared by sandblasting and primed, then electrostatic powder coating is applied. For parts that will stay outdoors, galvanizing comes into play.
- 06InstallationOn site, the work is anchored, aligned and, if needed, welded in place. If there is automation, the electrical connection and photocell adjustment are completed the same day.
- 07HandoverOperation is checked, and use and maintenance are explained. Remote controls are programmed, locks are handed over and any phone app is set up at this stage.
03How we work
What do we pay attention to?
These are not slogans but decisions that directly change the outcome of the job.
No catalog, just measurements
The models on the site are not stock products; they are the types we make most often. Every job is redrawn according to the opening, the level difference and how it will be used. That is why we do not give a price before seeing the measurements; a figure that changes later is of no use to anyone.
Surface treatment is not a decorative step
What determines the life of metal standing outdoors is not the color of the paint but the work done before painting. Weld seams are ground flush, the surface is sandblasted and primed; the electrostatic powder coating goes on top of all that. Corrosion almost always starts when one of these steps is skipped.
We do not recommend a model that does not fit
Every model page has a section titled “when this model is not the right choice.” Selling a double-leaf swing gate when there is no room to maneuver in front of it comes back as a problem after the job is handed over. If the measurements and photos of your entrance show that a model does not fit, we tell you from the start.
A single point of contact
The same team from site survey to installation. The gate does not come from one place, the motor from another and the installation from a third; if something goes wrong, you do not have to chase who should do what.
04Service area
Where do we work?
All manufacturing is done in the workshop in Arnavutköy, Istanbul; delivery and installation across Türkiye. Within Istanbul, site survey and installation are our standard process. In other provinces, transport and the installation crew need to be planned, so we set up the process project by project — tell us where the job is and we will explain how we proceed for that province.
We have no branches or dealers in other provinces. That is why you see a single address on the site: we do not present an office that does not exist as if it did.
