What is this model for?
A stair railing is the metal part touched most often in a home; so its appearance and the comfort of its grip have to be resolved together. The handrail section is chosen to fit the palm — a handrail that is too thick cannot be grasped, and one that is too thin does not feel secure. A wooden handrail is often preferred indoors because it does not feel cold in winter, and it contrasts with the forged body. Step dimensions are taken one by one on site; if the stair has winders, each step has a different post angle, and this only comes out right with on-site measurement. Posts can be fixed on top of the treads or to the side face; side-face mounting preserves the tread width. If the railing will be used outdoors, it is both galvanized and painted; otherwise water collects at the joint with the tread and corrosion starts from there.

03An honest note
When is this model not the right choice?
On winding stairs and stairs with several landings, the labor for a forged railing increases significantly; for jobs that call for a simple solution, a plain flat-bar or box-section railing is more sensible. Outdoors, it should not be used without galvanizing.
Selling the wrong model does nobody any good. Send us the measurements and a photo of the installation site; if this model does not fit, we will tell you which one does.
