01Model
What is this model for?
The motor moves the gate sideways by turning its drive gear along a gear rack screwed to the gate’s bottom rail. Motor power is selected according to the gate weight; an undersized motor strains on a frozen track in winter and wears out its gear within a few seasons. The photocells are an integral part of the system: placed as a pair on either side of the gate opening, they stop the gate from closing when something passes between them. Automation without photocells is not installed at an entrance used by children, pets or vehicles. The warning light gives a visual alert while the gate is moving. During a power outage, the gate is released with the manual release key on the motor and pushed by hand; if battery backup is wanted, it is planned separately. More remote controls can be added later, and a lost remote can be deleted from the system. A Wi-Fi module is added for opening from a phone.

03An honest note
When is this model not the right choice?
Fitting a motor to a gate that is hard to push by hand, whose track has settled or whose wheels are worn is not a solution; the motor takes on the load and soon wears out its gear. Mechanical maintenance should be done first and, if necessary, the gate replaced.
Selling the wrong model does nobody any good. Send us the measurements and a photo of the installation site; if this model does not fit, we will tell you which one does.
